DwellPlus
DwellPlus is an experimental initiative started in late 2011 as a business offshoot of Dwelling Places. With dual aims of employing promising Dwelling Places alumni in vocational roles and generating additional income towards Dwelling Places, DwellPlus is modeled as a social enterprise.
As of February 2012, DwellPlus has grown rapidly to include initiatives in farming and livestock management that allow us to bypass otherwise costly measures to provide for the residents of the Transitional Rehabilitation Homes, and an outlet for other vocational skills such as handicrafts and indigeneous products.
DwellPlus is a promising new step in the history of Dwelling Places that moves towards self-sustainability and several proposals are in consideration for it to become a more integral and effective part of the holistic approach of Dwelling Places.
