Volunteer opportunities are available with Dwelling Places headquarters in Kampala, Uganda. We accept individuals and teams ranging in size from 3-15 people to serve for 1 week up to 1 year. Below is a list of some of our volunteer opportunities:

- Discipleship, mentoring, & tutoring the children at Dwelling Places
- Street and slum evangelism and other mission activities
- Music, dance, and drama programs
- Cooking, cleaning and other house work
- Database design, Public Relations, Child Sponsorship, Fundraising, Grant/Proposal writing
- Development of Information, Communication and Education Materials (ICEs)
- Teaching primary school
- Construction of a home for a family in transition (requires additional funding)

Application Process
All prospective volunteers must apply by submitting a completed Dwelling Places Volunteer Application . Once Dwelling Places personnel have reviewed an applicant’s file, volunteers will be notified by email.
Applications must be returned to the volunteer coordinator by email at volunteer@dwellingplaces.org.

Volunteer Placement
Dwelling Places aims to match volunteers' skills, interests, and availability with field-generated needs and openings. The application gives us insight into the volunteer’s background, interests, and strengths, enabling our staff to generate suitable potential placements.

Finances / Funding
Volunteers are responsible for raising the necessary funds to finance their trip. Dwelling Places personnel will provide a comprehensive budget. Volunteers are solely responsible for raising the necessary funds.
